The Pico E system is an automated, non-contact microdispensing instrument designed for ultra-low volume applications. It excels in dispensing proteins, antibodies, DNA, living cells, radioactive isotopes, nanomaterials, viscous solutions and more. This open-access platform supports various target substrates – ranging from glass slides and microtiter plates (96-well MTP) to nitrocellulose membranes or microneedles. The system can be equipped with all PolyPico microdispensers and is suitable for printing in any of the targets mentioned earlier. Compact, user-friendly, and flexible in its configuration, the Pico E system is an outstanding entry-level option for academia and R&D. It fits easily into most fume cupboards or laminar flow hoods requires no specialist installation, and allows users to be operational within an hour. Despite its entry-level designation, the Pico E upholds the high-quality standards of larger PolyPico instruments and requires minimal maintenance.

An open-platform design ensures maximum flexibility in the system layout and functionality, featuring a specialized target substrate or source holder. According to your application, the platform can operate with or without a cooled environment.

Ultra-low volume dispensing

The total volume range of the droplet is between 5 picoliters (pl) to 120 picoliters (pl), depending on the properties of the fluids.

Target alignment camera

Allowing precise point-and-shoot dispensing for simpler, fasted target alignment and inspection. (Optional).
