PolyPico wins ‘Most Interesting Technology’ award at European Laboratory Robotics Interest Group (ELRIG) 2014 Robotics and Automation Event

Following on from PolyPico Technologies being selected as a showcase technology for Innovation AveNEW by the Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening (SLAS) conference in San Diego, California , PolyPico Technologies was voted the ‘Most Interesting Technology’, by delegates attending last week’s European Laboratory Robotics Interest Group (ELRIG) 2014 event, which took place at FESTO, Northampton, UK.

PolyPico’s disruptive platform technology represents a significant advance in the manipulation of minute quantities of fluids. This ultra-low volume – ultra high precision dispensing technology facilitates the effective and efficient handling of bio-materials, and non-bio-materials, reducing the volumes of material required and empowering researchers, and industry, to develop more cost effective methods and devices. PolyPico have developed a non-contact fluid dispensing system the Pico Spotter ™ which uses inexpensive disposable fluid cartridges to completely avoid the risks associated with the potential cross-contamination of materials and additionally helps to eliminate dead volume costs.

PolyPico’s patent pending technology has already undergone significant evaluation by laboratories, research institutes and industries. Fluid dispensing applications include: Protein and Antibody microarrays/diagnostic device production; Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), dispensing of living cells, including stem cells; and the dispensing of organic/in-organic reagents.

For a limited time only, PolyPico are offering a FREE demonstration of their Pico Spotter ™  for laboratories who have a potential application which they wish to evaluate. For further information on obtaining a demonstration, please contact the PolyPico team at: info@polypico.com or skype us at: PolyPico.
